ccs-124138-140264015228_thumb.jpgKenny Miller looks set to make his Vancouver Whitecaps debut tomorrow afternoon against San Jose Earthquakes at BC Place, although how many, if any, minutes he gets could be determined by how the game is going.

Martin Rennie has said that the Whitecaps newest Designated Player is likely to be in the gameday eighteen and will <i>"hopefully be involved off the bench on Sunday"</i>, although he was quick to add that he's <i>"not even sure if he'll get any minutes, but there is a chance he could come on"</i>.

Miller is just itching to get out there for his first minutes as a Whitecap, and although he said that ultimately it was the coach's decision, he is raring to go.

<i>"Hopefully I may get a wee run out tomorrow night. We'll wait and see"</i>.

Despite the departure of fan favourite Eric Hassli, Miller isn't feeling any pressure in following in the Frenchman's footsteps.

Neither he should be. He only has to score twice to tie with Hassli in MLS goals for the season.

One thing that Miller is going to have to get used to quickly though is playing on a turf pitch. It's not a surface he's used to playing on, but is it going to be one that's good for him game?

<i>"Well, we'll have to wait and see,

I've never played in a game on it in the past, so obviously it's a new experience for me.

We've trained on it for the last week. We've had a few days training at the stadium before the game on Wednesday night so yeah, I'm getting used to it. Only time will tell."</i>

Miller got his first gameday taste of his new home on Wednesday night when he was introduced to the crowd before the exciting 2-2 draw with the Galaxy. What were his first impressions of the stadium and the atmosphere?

    <i>"I thought it was superb.

Even before the game, I was outside in the Bell booth, signing autographs for fans and things, and it was like a carnival kind of atmosphere. The place was buzzing from the start to finish.

That's why tomorrow night it would be good to get involved in front of the home fans."</i>

With the next two games being away from home, it would be good for Kenny Miller to get those first few MLS minutes on home soil.

Whenever he does step out onto that BC Place turf, you can be sure he's going to get a fantastic reception.
