Ignoring the personal stuff and sticking to what's relevant, it's important to bear in mind that CanPL is not structured like England's league system. They chose to emulate a Latin American apertura and clausura plus playoffs type format, so the first port of call in a soccer context to see how Golden Boot awards get handled should probably be Latin America rather than Europe. First one I looked at chosen at random seems to consider all phases of the competition on that:
Not true. It's not just about Duane Rockerbie. I have also pointed out who holds the trademarks for the clubs, and how shirt sponsorships and stadium naming rights are being handled by CSB and pointed you in the direction of some info from a set of accounts released in Winnipeg. I am open-minded as to how significant the single entity component to the league's structure because there has been information that points in both directions. As for taking what David Clanachan says as anything more than marketing spin, bear in mind you are placing great stock on statements made at a time when he was also adamant in interviews that the league would launch with eight teams and would have ten by 2020. Anyway, this has run its course. The reasonable thing to do at this point would be to agree to respectfully disagree.
Norway - 3rd tier - October 19
David Paulmin was in goal for Kvik in a 2-0 loss away to Fredrikstad. The loss drops Kvik to 2nd place, two points behind Stjørdals-Blink.
Finland - 2nd tier - October 20
Dominic Grondin started and played 80 minutes for EIF in a 2-2 draw with Oulu.
For sure, I always thought the team was better with him instead of Sagna (he seems more like an effective CB now).
A lot of fans are sad to see him leave but if he's going to get a chance at that Lyon first team, it's now. They just hired Rudi Garcia and are currently sitting 17th. Not many better places to develop than Lyon.
A couple pages ago someone asked about goal difference tie breakers if we lose by a goal. What we should really be eyeing is beating USA 18-0 so that if they lose to Cuba USA get relegated to League B.
Make this happen Herdman!
Overall it was good playing time at a higher level than what he was playing at before. Without too much bias I think I can say he deserved to play more than what he did and he has a promising career ahead of him.
