  1. I'll take name this flag for 1000. Literally pockets if you can't speak French, good luck, you have 0 chance. This is coming from someone who works in those areas. I'll put your ignorance aside , consider it an acknowledgement of Canadian culture and diversity. Anyways Game day! Let's do it boys! All the best to all the Canadians today whatever language they speak!
  2. French people know nothing about football, especially the last 25 years. What an awesome angle by Biello, must have driven all the Spanish speaker pressers nuts. Love it
  3. Wikipedia says he has already opted to play for Canada internationally. Wikipedia is never wrong.... Right!???
  4. As mentioned in another thread, I long for the day that a player NOT from Southern Ontario, lower main land BC, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa or Montreal finds a simpler way to "make it" or into the national team. Don't want to really compare countries too much but what France has done as a nation after their investment into the sport in the late 80's has clearly paid dividends for generations since '98 onwards. Just think, a country half the size of Ontario geographically has 16 elite academies funded by the FFF ( yes one is in Guadeloupe). However this also does NOT include the countless club academies as well. It's just to put things into perspective, under proper coaching platforms, guidelines and guidance you can develop young athletes. France to this day, is still pumping out talent. This starts with proper development at a young age. In circling back to Christine Sinclair final send off note, I could only imagine the amount of young male and female potential talent "falling through the cracks". So to answer the topic are we a football nation. My answer: we have alot of people that want to play football and want us to be a football nation but we have a long way to go, to become a football nation.
  5. Very disappointed no third goal or one in 2nd half up a man. Great opportunity to establish "killer instinct". Overall happy with result.
  6. I'm in the USA right now, and my link just completely died. My VPN must have failed. Does anyone have a link?
  7. Excellent result and excellent confidence builder. Some things to work on and more importantly, very important lesson learned today... If you switch off for even 1/2 second against higher quality opponents you will get punished. Very fortunate not 2-1 Japan in the 90th min after we switched off for 1/2 sec and gave up a break way that Japan banged off the post. We looked very impressive for significant portions of this game, I can't wait until next week!
  8. 🧢 Sorry, just couldn't help myself had to with that comment. Edit: I'm not pro or anti Arfield, on the fence with this one to be honest. At this point I'll let the gaffer decide and I trust his decision.
  9. Wonder if against better teams we should even play 3 at the back.... Lots of decisions to make. Fact: So glad we got this friendly in.
  10. Midfield depth lacking is massive. No Osorio, Hutch, Hoilett ..... Day I say it No Arfield as well.
  11. I have a FUBO TV subscription.... Sorry, old man question. One soccer re-run games pop up once in a while on Fubo. Does this mean I will be able to watch this game or will they "block" it or something for the live event?.
  12. Thanks for posting this, the man already looks in form.
