    • I think it's very unlikely that  Biello gets the permanent job and more unlikely re Smyrniotis. Kevin Blue will want to hire "his guy" and continue to make changes that moves the program upwards vs maintaining the status quo. It's a big decision and I'm sure he knows it.
    • This was brought up several years ago when James played for Midtjylland. I believe the general consensus was that if you make 5 appearances than you are considered part of the Championship.
    • Agreed! I always been really curious as to where CPL level would approximately sit on the English pyramid. I saw a National League match this summer and felt CPL was a bit above the quality I saw there. Wrexham is now essentially a League 1 team, so i would expect them to be stronger than most CPL sides, but an All Star game would be really intriguing.
    • Andrei Dumitru (2006) made his first team debut for Toronto FC yesterday in the Canadian Championship preliminary round vs Simcoe Rovers. Played the second half from what I can tell.
    • I don't think so. Looks like they other friendlies Wrexham are playing on this tour are against Chelsea and Bournemouth.  Although I did see a rumor on Twitter about a CPL all star game. This would be a perfect opponent for something like that
    • Metcalfe scored the go ahead goal in a cup match. It's 2-1 at half
    • It's actually during Leagues Cup. Bit before Vancouver's 1st game in that
    • Does anyone think there's a chance Vancouver FC or another CPL team might get a chance to play Wrexham when Reynolds brings then to Vancouver?
    • The way it looks it won't be Mauro or any Canadian coach at this point. Too many international names out at this point. What's the CSA going to say " we interviewed all these coaches and  (any Cdn coach) is the most qualified. I think a Cdn coach would be good for us after the 2026 WC.
    • Officially, Prime Monday Night Hockey will show in English only all games on Monday for next 2 NHL seasons. No playoffs mentioned. They will have their own broadcast team with details coming later. I haven't seen any dollar amount leaked yet. While Apple TV+ has shown 1-3 Friday night Blue Jays games, Amazon deal is first real chink in the armour amongst sports fans who watch the big 4 leagues only via TSN/SN. But there is joy emanating from those who hate SN's hockey coverage. Of note, Amazon Prime org puts Canada with Australia & New Zealand rather than under a North America umbrella. it is estimated there is about 8 million Prime subs in Canada which is about the same number of subs for TSN & SN. On the football front, Amazon shows select Champions League matches in the UK, Germany & Italy, Ligue 1 in France & Copa do Brasil in Brasil. So, showing NHL in Canada matches their strategy of showing a slice of games from the most popular sport of a country.
