Doesn't he have to wait until the transfer window opens in mid July in order to play?

Di Vaio is not a decrepit italian player!!! 10 goals in the seria A italian champions are like 40 in your IMFC. In Europe we use to play defense too!!! Forza Bologna

IMFC dominated Toronto FC last night but couldn't score. Yes it's just a temporary fix for them, but all things considered, not a bad signing.

Any one calling Di Vaio a decrepit player is either a hater or quite simply terribly ignorant. I agree corradi and Ferrari are wood but di Vaio is quality and will easily be one of the best strikers in MLS. This is coming from a TFC fan too btw.

So excited for Di Vaio's arrival to MLS!! From a
Montrealer! Bienvinuti in Canada Marco. 10 goals for
Bologna this season very impressive for his age (very impressive at any age). Still has a lot of juice left. Should be a walk in the park against the defense in the MLS! Mr. Saputo please bring Del Piero next!

Age is just a number, what matters is playing ability. Giggs, Scholes, Del Piero are all older & better than Di vaio IMO, but he'll do great so long as he commits himself to the team & league & gets the necessary service that any striker needs to be successful

I'm not really understanding how the transfer works differently because he's still under contract. Does the fact that it's free mean he can play immediately? And how would he be a DP in Montreal, but still be under contract in Bologna? Why would Bologna keep him under contract?I'm so confused...

Marco DiVaio has still lots of juice left he is far from being decrepit. Oh and by the way Ferrari is probably the best defensemen in the MLS and Corradi is playing real good so im not sure what you haters are complaining about...

Di Viao, is that exactly "juice" Montreal needs, to be make the MLS playoff rounds on its first year expansion.. wow

Di Vaio will be scoring power house for the Montreal Team and running as a contender with Henry for the MLS scoring title.

The team is set up well for his style of play no doubt about it they will climb with his contributations.

To bad that TFC has not the same ideas as they do. Start looking at the players maybe from that side of the world to get of this mess fast that they are in......Finishers Like Di vaio.

That is what some other foreign players thought and they ended up on their butts looking stupid. MLS is not a skilled league. But it is a fast and athletic league. Many older European players have gotten killed here.

Still, he still is a quality player. The Impact moved up to MLS to sign players of this caliber.
